Supporting a site with aging facilities is no small task, but James approaches his endless to-do list with care, skill, and determination. He manages his budget thoughtfully, keeping the grounds safe, functional, and sparkling clean.Even when he’s not officially on the clock, James remains attentive to any detail that might need his attention—even if he’s spending time with his family at monster truck events or camping at the beach. His commitment and pride in his work help make Sly Park a safe and welcoming place for all.

Susan

Susan is a valued member of the maintenance team at Sly Park Environmental Education Center and the only female on the crew. Though quiet and understated, she brings remarkable tenacity and dedication to her work each day. Susan arrives early to help prepare the campus for a full day of student adventure, ensuring everything is ready behind the scenes.With a sweet and steady presence, she is always willing to listen with her whole heart. A horse lover at heart, Susan carries the same strong, calm energy you might feel around a trusted horse—grounded, gentle, and dependable. Her quiet strength and care make a lasting impact on the Sly Park community.

Marc 

Marc is a maintenance employee at Sly Park Environmental Education Center, where he has been keeping the grounds running smoothly since 2023. Known around campus by his nature name, Stingray, Marc brings dedication and care to his work each day—and is also known for his spot-on Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonations. When he’s not on the job, he finds his greatest joy spending time with his two sons. 

Matt

Matt is a dedicated member of the maintenance team at Sly Park Environmental Education Center, known for his thoroughness and careful attention to detail. He makes sure he fully understands what’s needed and follows up to ensure solutions are carried out effectively. Matt’s commitment to the program runs so deep that he has even stayed overnight to shovel snow ahead of an incoming storm, ensuring the campus remains safe and accessible.

His love and joy for Sly Park are so evident that it inspired his sister to join the staff in the kitchen. Matt’s reliability, care, and genuine passion make him an indispensable part of the Sly Park community.

Vince 

Vince is a dedicated member of the maintenance team at Sly Park Environmental Education Center, known for his impressive attention to detail. The care he puts into maintaining the facilities is visible in every space he touches—he truly likes things to shine, much like the Indian Motorcycle he dreams of riding one day.

Friendly and kind, Vince brings a sweet presence as he moves about campus, helping keep Sly Park safe, polished, and welcoming for students and staff alike. His pride in his work and positive spirit make a lasting difference throughout the site.
